description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe tdTomato cDNA with an inserted sequence of the intron between exon 1 and 2 of the mouse Slc32a1 gene containing a floxed stop sequence followed by a rabbit beta-globin polyadenylation (polyA) signal was inserted into the mouse Slc32a1 locus in a BAC clone (#160L22) using homologous recombination in Escherichia coli replacing the ATG codon plus 16 bp of the coding sequence in the Slc32a1 gene. Five lines (Lines 28, 39, 47, 54, and 58) were generated. It is a Cre responsive reporter allele and Cre-mediated excision of the stop sequence results in the tdTomato expression. The pound symbol (#) is used when no line is specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:257167)
