description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence, Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Cd209btm1.1(cre,HBEGF)Bcgen expresses 1 gene

Cd209btm1.1(cre,HBEGF)Bcgen expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA cDNA construct encoding an Frt-flanked neomycin resistance cassette followed by a stop cassette was introduced before a start codon, followed by cDNA encoding Cre recombinase, and the human DTR (HBEGF) was generated. The Cre recombinase and DTR coding sequences were separated by self-cleaving 2A viral sequences to allow stoichiometric translation of both individual proteins. This construct was inserted at the ATG start codon of cd209b, effectively replacing the expression of SIGN-R1. The neomycin resistance gene and stop cassette was removed by crossing to FLPO mice.
