Mutation details: This transgene construct contains the following elements: the CAG promoter, a loxP site, the mouse eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 1 alpha cDNA, a second loxP site, the EGFP fluorescent marker gene, and bovine globin poly(A) signal sequences. Founder 11 has a single copy of the transgene. The transgene will express Eif2s1 as is, but EGFP after cre-mediated excision of the Eif2s1 sequence.
