Mutation details: The bacterial artificial chromosome, RP23-406B15, containing Nanog and its regulatory sequences was modified to insert a cDNA encoding Cre/Esr1* fusion protein into the translation initiation start site. Additional sequencing indicates that the fusion is not ERT2, but appears to be a mutant derivative of the mouse estrogen receptor.
