Mutation details: A BAC clone that carries the whole Flk1 genomic region as well as the upstream and downstream regions was modified to insert a GFP cDNA into the first exon of the Flk1 gene. The linearized BAc was injected into pronuclei of mice to generate transgenic lines. Two lines, 244 and 270, were characterized further.
