Reference: J:48563 Sporle R, et al., Paradox segmentation along inter- and intrasomitic borderlines is followed by dysmorphology of the axial skeleton in the open brain (opb) mouse mutant. Dev Genet. 1998;22(4):359-73
Assay type: RNA in situ
MGI Accession ID: MGI:6296001
Gene symbol: Myf5
Gene name: myogenic factor 5
Probe: Myf5 probe2
Probe preparation: Antisense labelled with digoxigenin RNA
Visualized with: Alkaline phosphatase
Results
Specimen 5A: embryonic day 10.5 (more )
Note: TS17
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS17: myotome Present Regionally restricted 5A Expression marked the continuous, elongating myotome layers that were clearly segmented from their epaxial to their hypaxial extremities.

Specimen 5B: embryonic day 10.5; Rab23opb/Rab23opb (more )
Note: TS17
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS17: myotome Present Regionally restricted 5B Expression in most myotomes bridged the somite borders and the thoracic hypaxial myotomes were delayed and exhibited a tendency of bifurcation. Expression also bridged the somite borders between the truncated epaxial myotomes of the cervical-thoracic transition.
