Mutation details: Genomic sequence containing the mouse gene promoter and part of the 5' UTR (nucleotides 1578 to +177 relative to the transcription start site) was cloned upstream of a ZsGreen1 fluorescent marker gene cassette. The transgene was micro-injected into into fertilized C57BL/6N mouse eggs, resulting in two transgenic lines, 838 and 840. Neither mouse line displayed any overt phenotype, nor interference with the expression of the endogenous gene.
