Mutation details: The transgenic construct was designed with a mouse keratin 8 promoter followed by a rabbit beta-globin intron driving co-expression of both a turbo green fluorescent protein (tGFP) and a suicide gene, chimpanzee diphtheria toxin receptor, separated by a P2A peptide plus a hygromycin selection cassette. The hygromycin cassette has been removed. tGFP is a fast-maturing short half-life turbo green fluorescent protein.
