Mutation details: The mouse gene, isolated from a BAC, was modified by the in-frame insertion into exon 2 of the EGFP gene and SV40 poly(A) sequences after codon 19. The resulting transgene was microinjected into the proneclei of fertilized eggs. This transgene drives the expression of the fluorescent protein from the paired box 2 promoter. (J:73896)
