Mutation details: A fragment of mouse genomic sequence from 453 bp upstream of the transcription start site of the Col11a2 gene to 380 bp downstream (the former being promoter and the latter being 5' UTR sequence), was cloned upstream of a construct containing SV40 intronic sequence, the lacZ reporter gene and SV40 poly(A) signal. A 2.3 kb DNA fragment representing most of the first intron of Col11a2 was inserted downstream of the poly(A) signal. This construct was microinjected into the pronuclei of fertilized eggs from F1 C57BL/6 C3H hybrid mice.
