Mutation details: The Venus reporter was inserted in-frame before the stop codon in BAC clone RP24-333G17. A fully functional fusion protein expressed from this construct was capable of rescuing the Lrrc6 null lethal phenotype. The Lrrc6::Venus protein was localized in the cytoplasm of E8.0 node cells but not in the axoneme of node cilia. Similarly, the fusion protein was localized only in the cytoplasm of tracheal epithelial cells and primary spermatocytes and spermatids in the testis.
