Mutation details: The transgene insert comprises the following: the mouse myosin heavy chain alpha (cardiac) promoter, a cDNA for the human DGAT1 gene, a fragment of the human growth hormone gene (exon 3 through intron 5) and the poly(A) signal. This allele drives overexpression of the DGAT1 gene in the heart, as shown by RT-PCR experiments.
