Mutation details: The transgene comprises the following elements: a beta-actin promoter, a loxP site flanked STOP cassette, the cDNA for the constitutively active isoform of the mouse Nfe2l2 gene which lacks sequence for the N-terminal Neh2 domain, an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES), and the EGFP fluorescent reporter gene. This is line 1 of five mouse lines with different integration sites that were established after pronuclear injection of FVB/N fertilized oocytes. The mouse gene (and the reporter) will only be expressed after deletion of the STOP cassette through Cre-mediated recombination.
