Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Constitutively active, Inserted expressed sequence, Modified isoform(s), Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene is derived from the Tg(CMV-SALL4_iB)#Chai allele and comprises the following elements: the CMV early enhancer a beta-actin promoter, a loxP site flanked STOP cassette, the cDNA for the constitutively active isoform of the mouse Nfe2l2 gene which lacks sequence for the N-terminal Neh2 domain, an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES), and the EGFP fluorescent reporter gene. The construct was injected into the proneclei of FVB/N fertilized oocytes. The mouse gene (and the reporter) will only be expressed after deletion of the STOP cassette through Cre-mediated recombination. (J:248498)
