Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Sox10-cre)1Sout expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsUsing the BAC containing Sox10 regulatory regions, a nuclear localization sequence-modified Cre recombinase gene and a fragment from the human growth hormone gene was inserted directly downstream of the transcription initiation site. LoxP sites in the BAC flanking arms were removed prior to microinjection. The Sox10 regulatory regions drives neural crest-specifc expression of Cre recombinase. (J:240668)
