Assay notes: These data are reported in Table 1. They are derived from crosses of wild-type or heterozygous females with heterozygous males. The table reports the percent of oocytes and embryos displaying B-galactosidase activity. From these percentages inferences were made regarding the genotype of the embryos based on the proportions of each type expected from each cross. (The germinal vesicle stage embryos were cultured and thus excluded from entry.)
