Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Vim-cre/ERT2)#Rshw expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA cre/ERT2 cassette was inserted at the ATG codon in exon 1 of the Vim gene in the BAC by recombineering methods. The neo cassette was removed by flippase, and the modified BAC construct was injected into fertilized CBA x C57BL/6J oocytes. One of three founders was crossed to reporter mice for analyses. One line shows strong cre-recombinase expression induction after tamoxifen injection, however specific line number(s) used for the experiments are not given. (J:231716)
