description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Dominant negative, Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Cryaa-TGFBR2*)550Ove expresses 1 gene

Tg(Cryaa-TGFBR2*)550Ove expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA 940 bp cDNA fragment encoding the signal peptide, extracellular domain, transmembrane domain and part of the intracellular domain, excluding the cytoplasmic kinase domain, of human transforming growth factor, beta receptor II (TGFRB2) was cloned between the mouse alpha A crystallin promoter (nt -366 through +46 of the Cryaa gene) and the small t intron and early region polyadenylation signal of the SV40 virus. The truncated, kinase deficient protein is expressed in the eye lenses of transgenic mice. (J:71882, J:213051)
Inheritance:    Dominant
