Mutation details: I.M.A.G.E. clone BAC RP24-186D18 was modified to express a cDNA encoding humanized COP4 (also called channelrhodopsin-2 or ChR2) carrying an H134R (histidine 134 arginine) mutation fused to EYFP (ChR2(H134R)EFYP) under the control of the mouse Pcp2 gene regulatory elements. High expression is found in Purkinje cells of the cerebellum as well as rod bipolar cells of the retina.
