Mutation details: The transgene was designed with (from 5' to 3') a 53 bp mouse Acrv1 insulator element, the mouse Hspa2 (heat shock protein 2) promoter, the humanized renilla (hr) green fluorescent protein, polyA sequence, and another 53 bp mouse Acrv1 insulator element. Analysis by Western blotindicates that GFP is found in testes and at low levels in the brain. GFP expression is limited to meiotic and post-meiotic germ cells.
