Assay type: RT-PCR
MGI Accession ID: MGI:5441249
Gene symbol: Hoxa6
Gene name: homeobox A6
Probe: Hoxa6-pE, Hoxa6-pF
Probe preparation: DNA
Assay notes: The RT-PCR reaction was resolved on agarose gel, transferred to nylon membrane and hybridized with an oligo probe (MGI:5441246) that was internal to the primers used for amplification.

Lane AgeStructure 260 bp Amount Genetic BackgroundMutant Allele(s)Sex
+/+ E12.5 TS20: embryo Present 5 µg; total RNA Not Specified Not Specified
+/- E12.5 TS20: embryo Present (a) 5 µg; total RNA involves: 129S7/SvEvBrd * C57BL/6J Hoxa6tm1Mrc/Hoxa6+Not Specified
-/- E12.5 TS20: embryo Absent (a) 5 µg; total RNA involves: 129S7/SvEvBrd * C57BL/6J Hoxa6tm1Mrc/Hoxa6tm1MrcNot Specified
Notes:
(a) While the 260bp band was not detected in the homozygous mutants, further amplification detected a 1.4kb band. It was identified as a readthrough transcript in the -/- embryos by probing for neo. It was barely detectable in +/- embryos.
