Mutation details: About 3 copies of an 11 kb Hoxd9/lacZ and floxed pgk-neo transgene construct were inserted into the rel5 position (chromosome 2: 74222892; Mouse Genome Assembly - NCBI build 36, mm8) via homologous recombination. This also resulted in duplication of most of the targeting sequence. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and additional Hoxd9/lacZ copies. LacZ expression is seen in the digits.
