Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Plp1-cre)F627Rako expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsCre cDNA was inserted into a Plp1 promoter cassette consisting of exon 1 and intron 1 of the mouse Plp1 gene. The transgene construct was microinjected into 1-cell embryos. 6/29 founders were positive for the transgene and 2 showed successful germline transmission. Lines F627 showed a wider expression pattern at P4 by RT-PCR with transcripts detected in spinal cord, cerebellum, and cortex and additionally in liver, kidney and tibialis anterior muscle. At P28, only CNS expression was detected. (J:172435)
