Mutation details: A 17.3 kb fragment of human genomic DNA containing the S100B gene and its transcriptional control elements was used as the transgene. Expression of the human gene in transgenic animals was verified by Northern and Western blot analysis. Strong expression of the transgene was detected in the brain, and very low levels expression was detected in the liver, heart, and kidney. Multiple lines were created this record is for unidentified lines.
