description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Upk3a-GFP/cre/ERT2)26Amc expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA targeting construct containing the eGF/cre/ERT2 (GCE) cassette and an FRT-flanked Kanamycin/neomycin selection cassette was inserted into the consensus start ATG codon of the Upk3a gene in a BAC (RP23-235E13). The PGK-Neo/Kan cassette was removed by transient Flpe-recombinase expression. The resulting BAC transgene was microinjected into (C57BL/6 x DBA) F1 donor eggs. Founder line 26 was subsequently established. Transgene expression is detected in the bladder urothelium and ureters of E15.5 embryos. (J:159099)
