Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:204812
Parent Cell Line:  IDG3.2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6J x 129S6/SvEvTac)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: FlipROSAbetageo

Mutation detailsA "FlipROSAgeo" genetrap inserted in intron 2-3 of the Clock (circadian locomotor output cycles kaput) locus disrupts gene expression to create a null allele. Loss of expression (confirmed in hypothalamus, cerebellum, liver and kidney) does not severely attenuate the expression levels and oscillations of other core circadian transcripts.
