Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene contains the chicken beta-actin promoter and CMV enhancer, a floxed GFP cassette, and a LacZ fragment containing a nuclear localization signal. A mouse protamine-1 (mP1) polyA signal and intron follows both the GFP and lacZ sequences. In mice that carry only the reporter transgene, the presence of the mPl polyA signal and the GFP translation termination sequence will prevent expression of lacZ. Line J7 was subsequently established. (J:66897)
