Reference: J:95025 Malcov M, et al., Aym1, a mouse meiotic gene identified by virtue of its ability to activate early meiotic genes in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Dev Biol. 2004 Dec 1;276(1):111-23
Assay type: RNA in situ
MGI Accession ID: MGI:3796201
Gene symbol: Aym1
Gene name: activator of yeast meiotic promoters 1
Probe: Aym1 cDNA2
Probe preparation: Antisense labelled with S35 RNA
Results
Specimen 4B & 4D: postnatal adult (more )
Note: Fig. 4D is a higher magnification micrograph of Fig. 4B.
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: primary spermatocyte Present 4C/D , 4A/B Expression was detected in primary spermatocytes.
TS28: seminiferous tubule Present Regionally restricted 4A/B , 4C/D Expression was detected in primary spermatocytes in seminiferous tubules. Tubules at stages V-XI of the spermatogenic cycle express more abundantly than stages I-IV. Signal was not detected in interstitial regions consisting of testicular somatic cells.

Specimen not shown: postnatal adult; at/at (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS28: testis Absent
