Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Transactivator)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe mouse Rbp3 promoter was used to drive photoreceptor-specific expression of the rtTA (reverse tetracycline transactivator). Ten founder animals were established to establish lines G through P. Line K expresses highly, lines G, H and N moderately and line J expresses at a low level. As in the case of other Rbp3 transgenes two transcripts are detected by northern blot analysis. (J:134762)
