Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe Itgax promoter drives dendritic cell-specific expression of a floxed cassette that contains the SV40 T-antigen gene with an inserted initiation site, an inserted perfect Kozak sequence and removal of the 5' and 3' untranslated regions followed by an IRES-EGFP reporter. The intron and polyadenylation signal of rabbit beta1 globin with a 3' frt site is located between the promoter and floxed cassette. Production of multiple transgene splice products was confirmed by RT-PCR on spleen extracts. (J:131319)

Notes
Two lines were created with the same transgene vector (Mushi1 and Mushi2). Mushi1 expresses high levels of the transgene while Mushi2 expresses low levels.
