description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Inserted expressed sequence)
Inducer:    doxycycline/tetracycline
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA rat Creb1 cDNA was mutated at codon 133 to alter the endcoded serine to an alanine. In addition, a FLAG-tag peptide was added at the N-terminus to distinguish the expressed protein from the endogenous protein. The modified cDNA was cloned into an expression vector containing a tetracycline responsive element (TetOP) and a CMV minimal promoter. (J:128620)
