Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn IRESLacZ reporter and a neo selection cassette replaced a 1051 bp genomic fragment including all but the first 92 bp of exon 1. Quantitative RT-PCR indicated that heterozygote mice expressed about half the level of mRNA as wild-type mice, with no mRNA being detected in homozygote mice. LacZ expression was detected in the stomach, intestines, pancreas and brain of homozygote mice. (J:124913)
