origin
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6 x SJL)F1
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA 1.7 kb promoter fragment from just upstream of the translational start site of Dazl was used to drive expression of a humanized renilla GFP sequence (hrGFP). generate pDazl-hrGFP. The Dazl-hrGFP construct was used for pronuclear injection of (C57BL/6 x SJL)F1 oocytes to generate transgenic lines. Line 4 was established. GFP expression is highest in pachytene spermatocytes. No expression was found in the liver, heart, small intestine, large intestine, spleen, or kidney of these mice. (J:147188)
