Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, No functional change)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsAn extra copy of exon 4, interrupted by the lacZ coding sequence with a polyadenylation signal, has been inserted in reverse orientation upstream of the endogenous exon 4. A loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette (neo), in normal orientation, resides upstream of the reversed exon4-lacZ, separated from the latter by a V(D)J recombination signal sequence (RSS) with a 12-bp spacer. An RSS with a 23-bp spacer lies downstream of the endogenous exon 4. (J:124224)
