Mutation details: A transgenic construct was made that consisted of the rat probasin promoter driving the expression of a human TP53 cDNA that had a mutation in codon 273 resulting in an arginine to histidine substitution in the encoded protein. Immunohistochemical analysis of dorsolateral prostate sections confirmed the expression of the mutant protein.
