Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  (CBA x C57BL/6)F2
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(H2-k-Polb/Sh)8Cca expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe promoter for the murine MHC class I H-2K gene directed the expression of a rat Polb cDNA fragment to the thymus. Enhancer and polyA sequences were donated by the rabbit Beta-globin gene. Transgene expression was detected in the thymus, but not in the spleen, kidney, heart, lung, liver, intestine, or testis.
