Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA vector was designed to replace the 455-residue protein-coding region containing the pro-metalloprotease, disintegrin, and cysteine-rich domains at positions 79-533 with a neomycin resistance gene. Absense of transcript was confirmed in Northern blot of mutant testis. Also, protein extracts from testicular germ cells lacked a 120-kDa protein corresponding to the precursor form of Adam1b protein. (J:109221)
