A neomycin resistance gene that was included in the vector was subsequently removed via cre-mediated excision. Protein was reduced in mutant brain, thymus, spleen and testis compared to wild-type. Protein levels in liver, heart, lung and skeletal muscle were not affected by the mutation. (J:106136)
