Six copies of the transgene incorporated into the genome. The resulting heterodimer complex expressed was the "CD8.1" variant that differs from the "CD8.2" variant complex normally expressed in C57BL/6 mice. Transgenic expression was detected on almost all thymocytes and T cells as determined by flow cytometry using antibodies that can distinguish the two CD8 variants. (J:93004)
