Notes
Transgenic mice on a genetic background that involves C57BL/6J and C3H are viable and fertile.

The luciferase transgene is expressed constitutively in all tissues of these mice, at the lowest levels in kidney, liver, lung, spleen, heart and various areas of the brain, and at the highest levels in skin and testis. Activation of the Fos promoter in response to a wide range of stimuli results in increased luciferase expression.
