Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Camk2a-cre)2834Lusc expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsSequence encoding cre recombinase was adjoined to 8.5 kb of the Camk2a promoter. Cre expressionr was observed in the hippocampus beginning at postnatal day 17. Expression levels gradually increased through postnatal day 34 and the expression pattern expanded to include other forebrain regions. Expression was undetected in the hindbrain. (J:86221)
