Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA 750 bp fragment encompassing a portion of exon 1 and all of exon 2 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. Truncated transcript consisting of the neo cassette and portions of intron 2 and exon 3. The mutant transcript lacks sequence encoding the first 2 kinase domains which include the conserved putative ATP-binding pocket. Protein was undetected by Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant MEFs. (J:85756)
