Mutation details: The transgene consists of the CAG regulatory unit (a CMV early immediate enhancer, and a modified chicken actin beta promoter) as well as human CD81 cDNA flanked by rabbit beta-globin exon 3 sequences. Transgene RNA expression in all organs was verified by Northern blot analysis. Transgene protein expression on the cell surface of thymocytes, peripheral blood lymphocytes, and splenocytes was observed by cytofluorometric analysis.
