Assay notes: The primers used were designed to amplify all family members. (This amplicon is present at 629 bp.) Individual family members were identified by subjecting the amplified fragment to restriction enzyme digestion. This assay could have detected either family member IV or V but other experiments in the paper showed that IV was not expressed in the liver. Each analysis represents results from at least three separate tissue samples at each age.
