Six different transgenic founders were created and designated founders A-E. Transgene copy number varied from 1-46, and all founders expressed the transgene at the highest levels in the female reproductive tract. Low to moderate transgene expression was observed in some non-reproductive tissues. All founders exhibit age-related reproductive phenotypes including reduced fertility, extended gestation times, stillbirths, prolonged difficult labor (dystocia), and birth trauma.
