Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by the insertion of the gene trap vector IRES Beta-geo into intron 1. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from E12.5 embryonic fibroblasts from homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele, and western blot analysis on protein derived from E12.5 embryonic fibroblasts revealed that no detectable wild-type protein was made.
