Notes

p^r, Japanese ruby, recessive. This allele was discovered in a stock of Japanese waltzers (J:14915). The eyes of homozygotes are very variable in color and may be different on the two sides of the same animal. Coat color is intermediate between wild-type and p/p. pr/p mice resemble p homozygotes. This allele may be extinct.
