Reference: J:54746 Matise MP, et al., Ventral midline cells are required for the local control of commissural axon guidance in the mouse spinal cord. Development. 1999 Aug;126(16):3649-59
Assay type: Immunohistochemistry
MGI Accession ID: MGI:1340744
Gene symbol: Nrcam
Gene name: neuronal cell adhesion molecule
Antibody: anti-Nr-CAM
Detection system: Secondary antibody coupled to fluorescein
Results
Specimen 5.A: embryonic day 11.0 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS18: future spinal cord Present Regionally restricted 5A Staining is detected on commissural axons as they project toward the ventral midline. As commissural axons enter the ventral commissure, expression becomes highly enriched. Weak expression is seen in the ventral funiculus on postcommissural axons.
TS18: neural tube floor plate Present Regionally restricted 5A

Specimen 5.B: embryonic day 11.0; Gli2tm1Alj/Gli2tm1Alj (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS18: future spinal cord Present Regionally restricted 5B Precommissural level of expression was similar to that in wild-type; however, expression did not increase at the ventral midline. Weak expression was seen in some regions of the ventral funiculus.
