Reference: J:51100 Karl J, et al., Sertoli cells of the mouse testis originate from the coelomic epithelium. Dev Biol. 1998 Nov 15;203(2):323-33
Assay type: Immunohistochemistry
MGI Accession ID: MGI:1336017
Gene symbol: Lama1
Gene name: laminin, alpha 1
Antibody: anti-laminin 1
Detection system: Secondary antibody coupled to fluorescein
Results
Specimen 11.5 dpc gonads: embryonic day 11.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS19: gonad Present Regionally restricted 1A , 1B Laminin-1 was discontinuously distributed along the basal side of the coelomic epithelium, whereas the basement membrane components are thick and continuous under the mesonephros. Laminin-1 is also deposited on the basal side of the mesonephric tubules.
TS19: mesonephric tubule Present Regionally restricted 1A , 1B Laminin-1 was discontinuously distributed along the basal side of the coelomic epithelium, whereas the basement membrane components are thick and continuous under the mesonephros. Laminin-1 is also deposited on the basal side of the mesonephric tubules.

Specimen 12.5 dpc testis: embryonic day 12.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS20: testis Present Regionally restricted 2A Laminin-1 is deposited between the epithelializing Sertoli cells and the peritubular myoid cells as testis cords form. The basement membrane layers under the coelomic epithelium of both the mesonephros and the gonad are thick and continuous.
