New mutants. p11, a pink-eyed allele fouud in the progeny of a neutron irradiated male, is associated with cleft-palate, p11p animals look normal pp, but most p11p11 homozygotes die due to cleft-palate soon a f t e r birth. Occasional p11p11 animals live to maturity and presumably have unaffected or only slightly affected palates. On breeding, their p11p11 offspring still have cleft-palates and die. (Phillips)
